Gaming Phones vs. Tablets – Who Is King?

There is no denying that smartphones and tablets have evolved by leaps and bounds over the last few years. They have become more powerful and versatile, ensuring that they can be used for a wider variety of purposes. These days, a greater number of gamers are relying on them for gaming.
When it comes down to it, is there one mobile device that’s better than the others? Well, since there are so many factors to consider, the answer isn’t as obvious as you might imagine. To get a clearer idea, we need to look at the following elements:
The Processing Power
Processing power is undeniably one of the most important components of any gaming system. This is because the processor is responsible for the activities in virtually all devices. So, if it is sluggish or slow, you can guarantee that the rest of the performances and activities will be the same as well.
Naturally, the actual chips of smartphones and tablets can vary quite a bit. So, to make a point, let’s consider the chips of two of the most powerful mobile devices currently on the market – the iPhone 11 and the iPad Pro 11.
The iPad Pro 11 is currently utilizing the Apple A12X Bionic, while the iPhone 11 is working with Apple A13 bionic. So, which one wins in this battle? Well, here, the tablet chip is the undeniable winner. It boasts 1500 million more transistors and is up to 30 percent faster.
Apart from these elements, these chips are virtually identical. However, considering that gaming does rely on a fair amount of processing power, it would appear that tablets boast a greater amount of power.
The GPU
GPUs are important for gaming as well. They ensure that the games run more efficiently. They also help the game to look better with higher resolution graphics. Furthermore, GPUs are responsible for improved framerates as well.
Now, how do the GPUs of smartphones and tablets stack up against one another? Well, once again, there is a fair amount of discrepancy between the makes and models. However, let’s just consider two of the best in the business.
One of the most powerful GPUs for tablets is the Apple A12Z Bionic. In the future, most of the Android smartphones will be equipped with the ARM Mali-G77 MP11. It would appear that the tablet GPU is ranked higher than that of smartphones.
Thus, tablets may be better equipped to handle the graphics that newer and more sophisticated games will throw at them. This doesn’t mean that smartphones aren’t capable of this as well. It simply implies that smartphones may not be as up to the tasks as more powerful tablets.
Screen Size
When you are a gamer, there is no denying that screen sizes are important. After all, it can be a rather terrible experience to play high-quality games on a tiny display. Now, on the surface, it would appear that tablets win this round as well.
After all,...
