Meizu 17 and 17 Pro flagships announced with Snapdragon 865, 64MP main camera

Meizu's latest flagship smartphones are here.
The Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro were announced today, and they've got many of the features that you'd expect from an Android flagship in 2020. That includes a Snapdragon 865 processor and 5G support, making these the first Meizu phones to support 5G connectivity.
Both phones also feature a 6.6-inch 2340x1080 Super AMOLED display with 3.3mm bezels at the top and bottom of the screen, giving the Meizu 17 and 17 Pro a 92.9% screen-to-body ratio. In the upper left corner of those displays is a 20MP selfie cam with portrait mode and AI beauty features, and near the bottom of the display you'll find an in-display fingerprint sensor.
One of the big ways that the Meizu 17 and 17 Pro differ are their rear camera arrays. Both phones have quad rear cam setups that include a 64MP main camera with Sony IMX686 sensor and f/1.8 aperture. But the Meizu 17 Pro is also packing a 32MP ultra wide cam with 129-degree field of view, 8MP telephoto snapper, and Time of Flight sensor for improved bokeh effects and augmented reality features.

Meanwhile, the regular Meizu 17 is equipped with an 8MP ultra wide snapper with 118-degree field of view, 12MP telphoto camera, and 5MP macro cam for close-up shots.
Both phones come equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of built-in storage. They've also both got dual speakers, NFC, and USB-C. Powering each of Meizu's new flagship phones is a 4500mAh battery along with 30W wired fast charging support. The Meizu 17 Pro adds in 27W wireless fast charging, too.
The Meizu 17 and 17 Pro are running the company's custom Flyme 8 UI on top of Android. Pre-orders for both phones begin in China today ahead of their launch on May 11. There's no word yet on when they might reach other parts of the globe.
As for pricing, the Meizu 17 starts at 3699 yuan ($523 USD) for the 8GB/128GB version and is also available in an 8GB/256GB model for 3999 yuan ($565 USD). The Meizu 17 Pro is priced at 4299 yuan ($608 USD) for the 8GB/128GB model and 4699 yuan ($664 USD) for the 8GB/256GB flavor.
