Samsung Galaxy S20 series starts receiving August security update

Update, August 3, 2020 (01:10AM ET):  Samsung is now reportedly rolling out the August security patches for the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra in some countries.
According to SamMobile , the update is currently available for the Exynos-powered Galaxy S20 models in a number of European countries. This means that it should soon roll out to the Exynos variants of the flagships in other parts of the world like India. Snapdragon 865 -powered Galaxy S20 phones should also be receiving the update soon.
Besides the August security patches, the new update for the Galaxy S20 series also carries some stability and performance improvements. The changelog mentions that it adds some new features but doesn’t go into detail about what they are.
Samsung’s next big software update is expected to bring One UI 2.5 to the Galaxy S20 devices and that’ll most likely happen after the Galaxy Note 20 launch . We’ll update this hub as and when we know more.
