When should you expect to receive the Android 10 update? (Updated May 15)


Officially called Android 10, the next major version of Android launched September 3, 2019. The Android 10 update began rolling out to all Pixel phones, including the original Pixel and Pixel XL , Pixel 2 , Pixel 2 XL , Pixel 3 , Pixel 3 XL , Pixel 3a , and Pixel 3a XL .

1. Essential Android 10 update

September 3, 2019: On Twitter, Essential announced Android 10 is now rolling out to the Essential Phone. The company noted the update is rolling out “for select open market customers.” Android 10 should be available for all Essential Phone owners in the coming days.

2. OnePlus Android 10 update

September 3, 2019: On the same day as the official Android 10 launch, OnePlus announced an Android 10 open beta for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. This is not a stable release, but a good first step towards hitting that ETA we mentioned above. More details here.
September 4, 2019: OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus 6 and 6T will get Android 10 by the end of this month. The company also released open beta builds for the two phones, which are “meant to prepare your devices for the Android 10 update” — learn more here .
