Surface Duo specs leak hints at Snapdragon 855, 6GB of RAM

It was 7 months ago that Microsoft took the wraps off of its new Surface Duo dual-screen Android phone , but since then, the company hasn't divulged much of the Surface Duo's spec list outside of its two 5.6-inch screens. That's where the rumor mill comes in.
The Surface Duo's specs will reportedly include a Snapdragon 855 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and a 3460mAh battery. That's according to the folks at Windows Central , who say the Surface Duo will be available with 64GB and 256GB storage options and that there will not be a microSD card slot.
We're also told to expect a single 11MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12um pixel size. A fingerprint reader will be included for added security, and USB-C fast charging is said to be in there, too. One feature missing from the Surface Duo test units is NFC.
The screens on the Surface Duo are two 5.6-inch AMOLED panels each with a resolution of 1800x1350 and a 4:3 aspect ratio. Rounding out the phone's feature set is support for the Surface Pen stylus and Android 10, though it's expected that Microsoft will update the Surface Duo to Android 11 "relatively quickly."
Today's report adds that the Surface Duo is currently at "take-home status" at Microsoft , meaning employees not in the Surface division can ask to test the device in the real world.
Microsoft has previously said that the Surface Duo will launch in the holiday 2020 season. However, previous reports have suggested that Microsoft is far enough along on its development that it could release the Surface Duo earlier.
While it may not have the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset, the Surface Duo should still be fine with a Snapdragon 855. Another concern that some folks might have with these leaked Surface Duo specs is its 3460mAh battery, which might be a bit small for a higher-end device with two big AMOLED displays. But we'll have to wait to get our hands on the Surface Duo ourselves before we know for sure how long that battery can last.
What do you think of the Surface Duo based on these leaked specs?
