microcontroller led interfacing
The initial step often taken when learning about any microcontroller or embedded system is to make an LED blink. The circuit presented below illustrates the setup for interfacing an LED. Note: Due to the large dimensions of the circuit diagram,...
Secured room access system
Security is a primary concern in daily life, and an access control system is a crucial component of a security framework. The microcontroller-based digital lock described here is an access control system that permits only authorized individuals to enter a...
Arduino Flashy Christmas Lights Ornaments
This is the next part in the Arduino learning series, focusing on the use of arrays to create a small Christmas tree ornament with various flashing sequences. This project is suitable for engaging children in basic soldering skills—simply mount the...
Brushless DC motor with Arduino
Constructing a stroboscope (zoetrope) using an Arduino and the spindle motor from a damaged Xbox 360 DVD drive. Includes zoetrope animations, Arduino code, and circuit schematic.
The project involves utilizing an Arduino microcontroller to control the spindle motor extracted from a...
An Efficient Low-Power Arduino Switching Voltage Regulator
The voltage regulator integrated into the Arduino Uno is a linear-type regulator, which exhibits poor efficiency. When operating the ATmega238 at 5V with a 9V battery, nearly half of the battery's energy is wasted as heat by the regulator. This...
two wire arduino knight rider
Connect eight LEDs to an Arduino and create a Knight Rider display using only two Arduino pins in this tutorial. This is achieved by utilizing a PCF8574 I/O expander IC.
To implement the Knight Rider display using an Arduino and a...
infrared IR Arduino Transmit n Receive
Utilizing a digital infrared (IR) receiver module and a digital IR transmitter module, each connected to separate Arduino Uno boards, the objective is to transmit data, such as "1234", to the receiver and display this data on an LCD. Most...
Arduino Analog WriteMega
Connect the longer, positive legs (anodes) of 12 LEDs to digital pins 2-13 through 220-ohm current limiting resistors. Connect the shorter, negative legs (cathodes) to ground. The circuit will sequentially illuminate each LED from the lowest pin to the highest....
PC/CP120 Digital Logic Design
A Dual Inline Package (DIP) switch can be utilized to select between 0 and 5 volts in a circuit. Since the DIP switch lacks power or ground connectors, these must be provided externally. When the switch is in the "closed"...
