Common Hot-Lead Regulator
This circuit derives 5 V DC from 2 AA cells, even at their end-life voltages of 1.05 V, and is approximately 80% efficient, providing 5 V at 4 mA from 2.1 V at 11 mA. IC1 is manufactured by Maxim...
Dual Regulated Power Supply
The 7815 regulates the positive supply, while the 7915 regulates the negative supply. The transformer should have a primary rating of 240/220 volts for Europe or 120 volts for North America. The center-tapped secondary coil should be rated approximately 18...
voltage regulator circuit with pass
This is a simple design for a voltage regulator circuit using a pass transistor. The design is built around the LM317T. The output current of the LM317T can be increased by incorporating an additional power transistor to share a portion...
Automotive Electrical Tester
This compact tester is designed for checking vehicle electrical circuits. Two LEDs indicate whether one of the clips is connected to the positive supply line (red) or to ground (green). The unit is powered by the vehicle battery. It is...
thrifty voltage regulator
One of the drawbacks of a three-pin voltage regulator is that the input voltage needs to be 2.5 to 3 V higher than the output voltage. This makes these integrated regulators unsuitable for battery power supplies. For instance, if the...
MCU power supply wiring portion
High-precision voltage regulator, isolation transformer with the correct wiring, and low-pass filter to enhance the electrical noise immunity of the source portion. The wiring in Figures 20-48 and 20-49 is illustrated in the figures. Chokes (L1, L2) should have an...
100w dc inverter circuit with pcb design
A 12V car battery is recommended as the input for this circuit, utilizing the 2N3055 transistor as the amplifier. This configuration can deliver a power output of up to 100W, making it suitable for use in battery chargers, emergency lights,...
Logic PSU With Over-Voltage Protection
A simple 5 Volt regulated power supply unit (PSU) featuring overvoltage protection. This 5 Volt regulated power supply is designed for TTL and 74LS series integrated circuits.
The 5 Volt regulated power supply unit is an essential component in electronic designs...
regulator
Malcolm Moore's schematic is good, but it is insufficient for someone inexperienced with a soldering iron to create anything functional. Specifically, T1 is a coil of some type, but the configuration, as well as the values for Q1 and Q2,...
