LOW COST SOLAR RADIO SPECTROGRAPH
The analog interface is a straightforward analog-to-digital converter that accepts the analog video output from the RF/IF board and converts it into a format that can be read by a PC games port. The joystick input of the games port...
Solar Engine
Well the most common use is in a solaroller which is a small wheeled car that charges up and then moves in a quick burst of speed. Since you can only use motors and coils with this circuit robots built...
Low Voltage Preamplifier
The provided description pertains to a unique low voltage variant of an audio preamp. The emitter voltage of T1 is biased close to half the supply voltage, which is 1.5V. This biasing allows for the maximum output voltage swing. The...
12V LDO Solar Charge Controller
This Low Dropout Voltage (LDO) solar charge controller employs a differential amplifier and a series P-channel MOSFET linear regulator, which work exceptionally well together. The output voltage is adjustable and primarily designed for charging 12V lead-acid batteries. The input voltage...
Low/Zero-Carbon Office
The intention is to genuinely and measurably reduce energy consumption and/or micro-generate energy, leading to a net reduction in the energy imported to a residence each year. Since 2007/2008, all office lighting has been transitioned off-grid, achieving a zero-carbon status...
Chloroplast solar engines
The heart of the Chloroplast is the Motorola MC34164-3 Micro power Undervoltage Sensing Circuit (U1 in the following diagram). In normal use, this component monitors the voltage at pin 2, and applies a ground at pin 1 (out) when the...
Low Voltage Alarm
This low voltage circuit can be used to monitor batteries and other volatile sources of current for problems. The circuit sounds an alarm and lights an LED, but can be interfaced to any number of other circuits for many different...
Joule Thief use very low input 0,136 volt
Joule thief circuit using MOSFET.
The Joule Thief is a minimalist circuit designed to extract energy from low-voltage sources, such as depleted batteries, by utilizing a self-oscillating boost converter topology. This circuit is particularly useful for powering small electronic devices from...
Joule thief History
An example of a joule thief circuit driving an LED. The coil consists of a standard ferrite toroid core with two windings of 20 turns each using 0.15 mm wire.
The joule thief circuit is a minimalist boost converter designed to...
