Low-Power Car/Bike USB Charger
A regular charger was tested and found to consume 13mA with no load. It features an integrated power LED, which significantly contributes to standby current consumption. However, since the cigarette lighter socket is powered only when the engine is running,...
8V DC Power Supply With Over Voltage Protection
This 8V DC power supply is designed for use with high-end electronic equipment. It includes full over-voltage protection to safeguard against regulator failure, whether in the supply itself or in the connected device. The circuit employs a standard full-wave rectifier,...
Energy harvesting from thermoelectric sources
The cost of electricity worldwide has been steadily increasing for over the past 40 years. With the exception of a few periods of stable rates and a handful of minor decreases, electricity prices have risen almost every year since 1970....
positive voltage regulator circuit with
The IC8211 serves as a voltage reference and regulator amplifier, with Q1 likely functioning as the series pass transistor. R1 determines the output current of the IC8211, while C1 and C2 contribute to loop stability and help suppress the feedthrough...
ic-7805 based 5V breadboard mini PSU circuit with explanation
A micro power supply unit (PSU) is designed to power a breadboard with a voltage output of 5 volts. It can be connected to a 9V battery, a 12V source, or any other direct current (DC) power supply ranging from...
35 Ampere Power Supply
A 12 Volt 35 Amp power supply can be constructed using the LM7812 voltage regulator to provide a stable 12 Volt DC output. The power supply employs TIP2955 transistors as the main power regulators, with a configuration that utilizes six...
LM7805 + 5V power supply configuration
The circuit illustrated in the figure provides an output voltage of +5V and an output current of 1.5A. It comprises a power transformer, a bridge rectifier circuit consisting of diodes D1 to D4, and filter capacitor C1. Additionally, capacitors C2...
Logic PSU with Overvoltage Protection
The 5 volt regulated power supply for TTL and 74LS series integrated circuits has to be very precise and tolerant of voltage transients. These ICs are easily damaged by short voltage spikes. A fuse will blow when its current rating...
Low-Power Car/Bike USB Charger
An efficient USB charger designed to operate from a 12V car battery, achieving up to 89% efficiency and capable of charging USB devices at currents up to 525mA. It does not drain the battery if left permanently connected, provided the...
