AMPLIFIER WITH FORCED EQUILIBRIUM ADAPTOR
Each power supply, whether linear or switching, operates in at least two modes: constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC). The power supply can function in either mode, with the other serving as a protective mode for both the load...
-15 V 1-A Regulated Power Supply
The supply receives -20 V from the rectifier/filter which is fed to the collector of the Darlington pnp pass transistor, a TIP105. The base drive to the TIP105 is supplied through resistor R5. The base of the TIP is driven...
Designing Multiple Output Power Supplies With Topswitch
This application note describes a digital blood pressure meter concept that utilizes integrated pressure sensor analog signal-conditioning circuitry, microcontroller hardware/software, and a liquid crystal display. The sensing system measures cuff pressure (CP) and extracts pulses for analysis to determine systolic...
Remote tracking circuit schematics
The circuit consists of two main components: (1) a power supply circuit featuring a transformer (T) that steps down AC 220V to 33V, followed by a full-wave rectifier, a filter, and a three-terminal regulator that outputs +24V. This circuit also...
Power Supply Monitor /Memory Protector
This circuit detects low-voltage supply conditions, down to 0.6 V. Diode D1 sets the trip point of the circuit. The circuit is useful for protecting memory circuits from accidental writes during low-voltage power supply conditions, which can cause other circuits...
PM4040F application circuit switching power supply drive
The PM4040F is utilized in switching power supply applications for medium power ranges. It is designed to drive power supplies between 200W and 800W, as illustrated in the accompanying bridge circuit. For power applications below 1000W, an alternative circuit configuration...
Switching Regulator Circuit
This example presents a switch DC regulated power supply circuit designed for buck-mode +5V applications. It consists of a power supply circuit, an impulsator, a voltage sampling or pulse width modulation circuit, and a buffering driver circuit, as illustrated in...
protected
A voltage regulator is designed to provide a fixed voltage to any load. This inherently means it must supply the necessary current through that load to satisfy Ohm's Law, I = V/R. As the resistance (R) approaches zero, such as...
Variable Voltage Regulation
Controlling the output voltage from a regulator can be made variable in three ways:
1. Using a fixed reference zener diode to increase the output by the value of the zener
2. A variable resistor for variable output, note that...
