Variable Voltage Regulation
Controlling the output voltage from a regulator can be made variable in three ways:
1. Using a fixed reference zener diode to increase the output by the value of the zener
2. A variable resistor for variable output, note that...
Current and Variable Voltage Power Supply
Another adjustment of application operational amplifiers to adapt a power supply is apparent below. The power supply requires an additional adjustment to supply the op-amps with a bipolar voltage (+/- 8 volts), and the negative voltage is also used to...

Over 1400 top electronics projects and electronic circuits with photos, datasheets, and easy-to-read schematics, along with explanations of how they work and how to build them.
The collection comprises a vast array of electronics projects suitable for enthusiasts and professionals alike....
5x7 DISPLAY
You must be able to recognise components such as capacitors, diodes, zeners, transistors and resistors to build a 5x7 Display project. This information is covered in our BASIC ELECTRONICS course and a complete set of circuit symbols can be found...
display and serial interfacing of
This hardware is designed to display the number of cars in a parking lot. The system utilizes a six-segment display; however, a single display is sufficient for the intended function. It employs the segment driver IC SN7447AN along with a...
power Voltage supply clipping to <=3.3V
Supply it with a Li-Ion cell, which has a voltage range of 2.7 to 4.2V. The complexity of a buck/boost converter is not desired. While it is possible to regulate the voltage down to anything below 2.5V, it would be...
Variable charger circuit Schematic Diagram
The accumulator charger circuit must provide a voltage that matches the specifications of the batteries being charged. For a 12-volt accumulator, the output voltage should not exceed 12 volts, nor should it fall significantly below this threshold. Failure to maintain...
how does power supply regulate its
Most power supplies regulate either their output voltage or current at a constant level, depending on the load resistance relative to the power supply's output voltage and current settings. This can be summarized as follows: To accomplish this, most power...
capacitor Explaining a car voltage regulator circuit
The circuit regulates approximately 12V from the car battery down to 5V for use by an Atmel AVR microcontroller. The presence of two capacitors on each side of the linear regulator LM7805 raises questions regarding their purpose. It is suggested...
