Simple Astable 555 Timer IC Flasher
To achieve a lower parts count than the two-transistor multivibrators, two LEDs can be alternately flashed using a 555 integrated circuit configured as illustrated in Schematic 2. A combination of a 2.2kΩ and a 47kΩ resistor is used to determine...
A long delay light control lighting controller circuit
A photosensitive daytime electricity circuit utilizes a very small positive voltage. It features a 555 timer IC with four pins, including a reset pin that operates at low voltage. The circuit includes a bidirectional thyristor (iSCR) that controls lighting, allowing...
Ultrasonic transmitter circuit 555
The circuit described is a 555 ultrasonic transmitter constructed to emit ultrasonic signals at a frequency of 40 kHz. It operates by generating oscillating pulse outputs from a 555 timer (specifically the T-40-16 model). The circuit is designed to function...
Variable-duty-cycle-timer
When configured as a free-running multivibrator, a 555 timer provides no more than a 50% duty cycle. By adding two transistors, however, it is possible to obtain a variable duty cycle ranging from 5% to 95% without altering the total...
water level alarm using 555 ic
This water level alarm circuit can be utilized as a water level indicator to monitor the desired water level in various applications, such as tanks, swimming pools, or any location where water is stored. The circuit is constructed using a...
Bedwetting (Enuresis) Alarm with 555 timer
A simple two tone water alarm that is light enough to be worn on the upper arm of a sleeper is described. It uses two LMC555 CMOS timer chips followed by a complimentary pair of emitter followers to drive an...
555 zinc-manganese batteries reduction charger circuit
The circuit utilizes a 555 timer as the core component to create an astable multivibrator. The oscillation period T is given by the formula T = 0.693 (R1 + 2R2) C1, which corresponds to an oscillation frequency of approximately 100...
switching between parts circuit pulse input
This circuit operates as a 9V DC power source supplying a 555 timer to generate a square wave. The output is then processed through a Half-Wave Series Multiplier (Villard Cascade) to achieve a high voltage DC output. The goal is...
555 Timer as an Analog to Digital Converter
This circuit, based on the 555 timer, functions as a voltmeter and an analog-to-digital converter, converting analog input voltage into digital output pulses.
The 555 timer is a versatile integrated circuit commonly used for timing, oscillation, and pulse generation applications. In...
