Video Activated Relay
This simple circuit from the May 1996 Think Tank column of Popular Electronics activates a relay when it senses a composite video signal. This allows you to use the tuner built into your VCR to turn on and off older...
Game-scoring Display ScreenCircuit
The game-scoring display screen circuit diagram is depicted in the image above. The circuit consists of an add/subtract scoring input circuit, an add/subtract scoring circuit, a counting-decoding display circuit, and a reset circuit.
The game-scoring display circuit is designed to facilitate...
Composite Video titling Generator
The VTG-01 is designed to display user defined text over a composite video signal. This is useful in a multitude of different applications such as adding titles to home movies and adding custom text to security videos. Text can be...
Simple video amplifier circuit diagram
Commonly used for cameras or computers with black and white television connections, the amplifier has a gain of 3 and a bandwidth of 10 MHz.
The described circuit is an amplifier designed for applications involving cameras or computers that interface with...
LCD Module in 4-bit Mode
In many projects, alphanumeric LCDs driven by Hitachi's industry-standard HD44780 controller are utilized. These displays can operate in either 4-bit or 8-bit mode. In 4-bit mode, only the high nibble (D4 to D7) of the display's data bus is employed....
NJM2274AR LOW POWER VIDEO AMPLIFIER WITH Y-C MIXER
The NJM2574 is a low voltage video amplifier that includes a low-pass filter (LPF) circuit, a driver, and an internal clamp/bias function. It is designed to connect directly to a TV monitor using a composite input signal of 0.5V peak-to-peak....
Liquid-Crystal Display (LCD) Tester
A segment can be tested by applying an alternating voltage of a few volts across it. It is important to note that applying a direct voltage can cause irreversible damage to the display, as the resulting current will remove the...
Video Preamp Circuit
An NE592 or LM733 is utilized as a general-purpose video amplifier in this schematic. J2 and J3 deliver two anti-phase outputs. R2 functions as a gain control. The bandwidth is approximately 100 MHz.
The NE592 and LM733 are integrated circuits designed...
Color-tv-crosshatch-generator
This circuit serves as a simple, low-cost crosshatch generator for convergence and geometry adjustments in color televisions. It is driven by two clock signals, one for horizontal drive (IC1ab) and another for vertical drive (IC2ab). The outputs from these clocks...
