The TIL922 is a high-performance quad-channel optocoupler designed for AC-input applications. This device features four independent channels, each consisting of two gallium-arsenide (GaAs) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) connected in reverse-parallel configuration and a silicon NPN phototransistor. Packaged in a 16-pin DIP (Dual In-line Package), the TIL922 provides excellent electrical isolation between input and output circuits while enabling signal transmission across different voltage domains.
As part of the TIL92x series, which includes single-channel (TIL920) and dual-channel (TIL921) variants, the TIL922 offers the highest channel density in the family. The device is available in standard and selected current-transfer ratio (CTR) grades, with the standard version tested for 20% minimum CTR and special versions offering 50% and 100% minimum CTR.
