Personalised video assessments to support OTs and housing adaptation teams

Accessible bathing specialist Closomat is extending its remote assessment capabilities to support adaptation teams and occupational therapists (OTs).
Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, the need for home adaptations has remained undiminished, with elderly and disabled people still needing their homes adapted so they can remain safe and independent.
Recent research from Leonard Cheshire revealed that 67 percent of councils in England had disabled residents waiting longer than the 12-month statutory deadline for completing essential home adaptation work.
To help support vital home adaptation assessments, Closomat Product Specialists are using video conferencing platforms to help personalise the assessment experience. This new video assessment service – which complements Closomat’s existing on-site/in-home assessments that are now up and running again – is designed to support OTs and adaptation teams as well as clients.
