up down counter circuit
This circuit diagram illustrates a simple up/down counter suitable for various applications. It utilizes the CD40110BE IC, a CMOS decade up/down counter. Common cathode seven-segment displays are connected to the outputs of each IC. The display connected to IC1 shows...
Set reset flip-flop circuit
This is an example of a set/reset flip flop using discrete components. When power is applied, only one of the transistors will conduct causing the other to remain off. More: The conducting transistor can be turned off by grounding its...
4040B LED Counter
The number of pulses at the input can be visually confirmed by connecting a light-emitting diode to the output of the counter.
In this circuit, a counter is utilized to count the number of input pulses. The output of the counter...
Divide-circuit
An input signal drives both SN74 D-type flip-flops, which are positive edge-triggered devices. A low-to-high input signal transition triggers the A flip-flop, while a high-to-low input signal transition triggers the B flip-flop via the SN7404 inverter. Either flip-flop in the...
8-Digit up-down counter
This circuit illustrates the method of cascading counters while maintaining the appropriate leading zero blanking. A NAND gate is employed to determine if a digit is active, as indicated by the activation of either segment a or b on any...
8-bit digital counter circuit
Figure 8 illustrates a potential digital counter circuit. This circuit employs two ICM7217 integrated circuits, with each controlling four digital display tubes.
The digital counter circuit primarily utilizes the ICM7217, a highly integrated chip designed for driving seven-segment displays. Each ICM7217...
Seven-7-Segment Counter Circuit with LED Display-Diagram and Schematic
A simple seven-segment counter circuit with an LED display. This counter circuit diagram is designed using the IC CD 4033 as a counter, a 555 Timer IC, and a seven-segment LED display LT 543.
The seven-segment counter circuit utilizes the CD...
Opto-Coupled RS Flip-Flop
An RS flip-flop, also known as a reset-set flip-flop, is a type of stable multivibrator that has two inputs: reset and set. The output can exist in one of two stable states.
The RS flip-flop is a fundamental building block in...
digital counter circuits
The circuit in Figure 1 is a 4-bit asynchronous counter, also known as a ripple counter. It consists of four J-K flip-flops with their J and K inputs connected to logic 1. This configuration causes the output of each J-K...
